Blake Young To Race For GN Gonzales In AMA Pro Daytona SportBike Championship

Blake Young, AMA Pro Superbike contender, Joins GN Gonzales’ Daytona Sport Bike Team

Baton Rouge, Louisiana – February 28, 2014 – Blake Young who has been riding since the age of four and turned AMA Pro in 2003 has joined the GN Gonzales AMA Pro Daytona SportBike Team for the 2014 road race season.

Young spent his first years as a pro racer competing in Superstock and Supersport racing as well as the Formula Extreme series. He finished 15th overall in the Superstock Series in 2005. He made his debut with M4 Emgo Suzuki in the American Superbike Championship at Barber Motorsports Park where he finished ninth in 2008. After finishing 4th place overall in the 2008 Supersport Championship, Blake joined the Rockstar Makita Suzuki Team to compete full-time in American Superbike. He finished second overall in two consecutive seasons in AMA Pro Superbike with Yoshimura Suzuki in 2011 and 2012.

Blake Young says “He is excited about being in the AMA paddock again and riding for GN Gonzales Racing”. Blake also stated “That he is thrilled to be riding one of the best bikes out there and can’t wait to get to Daytona and show what it can do.”

“We’ve got a great team,” says Brad Rutherford – Team Manager, “but we’ve had a difficult time competing with teams that have a larger financial investment than we have had previously. This year we are rectifying that and partnering with Graves Motorsports.”
