Munich/Stephanskirchen, 16th June 2011. BMW Motorrad Motorsport welcomes a new sponsoring partner: The Gnutti Carlo S.p.A Group will support the team in the FIM Superbike World Championship. The two year sponsoring agreement starts as from the upcoming race weekend at Motorland Aragón (ESP), the seventh round of the 2011 season. The typical “G”-logo of the Gnutti Carlo S.p.A. Group will be visible inter alia on the BMW S1000RRs and race leathers of works riders, Leon Haslam (GBR) and Troy Corser (AUS), the team’s trucks and the BMW Motorrad Motorsport hospitality. The company was established over a century ago in Brescia in the north of Italy and is specialized in high precision engine components. Today, the Gnutti Group still a family business, but a global purchasing and logistics organization with a strong presence in Europe (Gnutti Carlo S.p.A Headquarters in Maclodio/Italy and Finnveden Powertrain AB with plants in Sweden and UK), in North America (Gnutti Ltd in Huron Park/Canada) and Asia (Gnutti India). At the last race weekend at Missano (ITA), the managing director of the Italy plant of the group, Fabrizio Turelli, already visited the team. “The Gnutti Carlo S.p.A Group is more than enthusiastic to have signed this sponsorship agreement with BMW”, said Mario Gnutti, business development manager and vice president of the Gnutti Group. “BMW is a prestigious brand and we hope we can work together for a long period of time. Our companies have a lot in common, as both are working in a highly technical environment. And we share the same goal: to be in the lead both on the race tracks and in the market.” “We are very happy to welcome the Gnutti Carlo S.p.A. Group on board”, added BMW Motorrad Motorsport Director Bernhard Gobmeier. “We both share the same values, both aiming for technical perfection and success on the international stage. We are looking forward to a long and successful partnership with them.”
