Boston Moto (www.bostonmoto.com) announces a one-of-a-kind, non-sanctioned 4-hour endurance race at New Jersey Motorsports Park (Lightning Course). The Boston Moto Team Endurance Challenge is open to amateur racers and experienced trackday riders alike, making this event a unique opportunity to taste of the thrill of team endurance riding. The Team Endurance Challenge will be held on Tuesday, September 1st immediately following our trackday on the same course the day before. There will be open practice the morning of the event for participating teams to shake down their bikes. Due to overwhelming interest and by popular demand, we have made some changes to our original plan for the event. There will no longer be spec tires, however there are incentives to use the best rubber in the paddock, Pirelli racing tires. The entry fee has been reduced and no longer includes Monday’s trackday prior to the event. This is aimed at making this event affordable for everyone, and those interested in attending the August 31st trackday for practice are encouraged to sign up at special pricing (details below)! Here are the new and revised details of this event: 1. Cost per team is $850. Reduced by 33%! (Teams consist of 4 riders per team). 2. Entry Deadline is August 20th! Minimum of 16 teams required* 3. Riders who are endurance racing on Tuesday may sign up for Monday’s trackday for just $100 per rider. 4. Each set of Pirelli tires purchased by pre-order for the endurance race will include 1 free entry to the August 31st trackday on Monday. 5. No “spec” tire is required for the Team Endurance Challenge. Pirelli tires are available on-site by Boston Moto (pre-orders only). 6. Regardless of brand, NEW tires are required the day of the race. 7. Non-licensed riders may be approved by Boston Moto during the August 31st trackday. If you can ride smoothly, safely and consistently in a trackday environment, you can be approved to participate! 8. All prizes for podium teams in each class are in Boston Moto gift certificates. (Boston Moto gift certificates are valid for all of our products including Pirelli tires, Pit-Bull products, Chicken Hawk Racing products and 2010 Boston Moto trackdays. Gift certificates do not expire and are fully-transferable!) *If minimum entries are not received, teams’ entry fees may be applied towards 2009 Boston Moto trackdays, INCLUDING Sept. 31st and August 1st, which will be run as a trackday should minimum entries not be met. For each class (Heavyweight Superbike, Middleweight Superbike, Lightweight Superbike): 1st prize $500 plus trophy 2nd prize $250 3rd prize $125 Additional prizes up for grabs include (courtesy: http://www.ctpowerandsport.com/): $100 gift certificate to CT Power and Sport, a case of fully synthetic oil, and a bike cleaning kit. More prizes will be announced as the event draws closer. This will be a FUN event; and Boston Moto would like to remind all participants that we all have work the next day and have families who want us home safe and sound. There are NO sanctioning points being allocated, no contingency to win, and no grudges to be settled. The Boston Moto Team Endurance Challenge is for bragging rights, bench racing, having fun and experiencing the unique thrill of endurance track riding! Come and take Track Time – Period. to the next level at the Boston Moto Team Endurance Challenge!
