Riders contesting the Australian Superbike Championship will have increased tyre options with Pirelli, Dunlop and Bridgestone all homologated for the 2014 season.

Increasing tyre choice to three manufacturers opens up opportunities for riders to explore support, experience and performance.

Bridgestone enters the series for the first time under the running of International Entertainment Group.

Craig White of Whites Racing Products said Bridgestone is excited to be involved with the Australian Superbike Championship.

“Bridgestone is excited to be involved with the Australian Superbike Championship,” White said. “We look forward to previewing our new range of treaded and race slicks which include the latest technology from MotoGP.

“Bridgestone has had a lot of success both domestically and overseas. In Australia Bridgestone tyres have won the premier class at the St George 4-Hour for past seven years in a row.

“We will be making available the latest products from Bridgestone including the recently released Superbike slick V02. We have done a lot of testing and this tyre has proven to be two seconds a lap faster than our previous model,” White continued.

Pirelli Moto National Manager Don Nicholas said he was looking forward to the opening round of the Australian Superbike Championship.

“We are enthusiastic about the upcoming 2014 season of ASBK, following on from a successful start to domestic racing for Pirelli riders at the
Phillip Island World Superbikes support races,” Nicholas said.

“At Pirelli we have saying; we race what we sell and we sell what we race. We are pleased to offer Australian road racers the opportunity to race on World Superbike level tyres at Queensland Raceway when they race in the Australian Superbike Championship in 2014.”?

All three, tyre manufacturers will be present at the 2014 events, providing tyre fitting, advice and support to competitors.
