Bridgestone Firestone Announces Title Sponsorship of the 2009 WERA National Endurance Series NASHVILLE, TENN. (Nov 20, 2008) Bridgestone Firestone North American Tire, LLC (BFNT) has once again signed an agreement with the Western Eastern Road Racing Association (WERA), renewing as the title sponsor of the 2009 National Endurance Series. “We are very enthusiastic about our fourth consecutive title sponsorship of the WERA National Endurance Series,” said Bob Graham, Senior Manager for Motorcycle Products, BFNT. “The Bridgestone brand has a long history of road racing involvement, where we utilize results from the race track in the testing and design of our performance tire products. We are especially pleased to partner with an organization that will enable us to promote the Bridgestone brand’s motorcycle tire technology and show our support of the racing community across the country.” WERA is one of the largest nation-wide organizations devoted exclusively to the advancement, operation and sanctioning of motorcycle road racing. Since its establishment in 1973, WERA has grown to be the largest motorcycle road racing organization in the United States in terms of members and has established road racing in many parts of the country where no viable program previously existed. The Bridgestone WERA National Endurance Series is a high profile racing series consisting of 10 rounds at racetracks across the country. Each race varies in length from four to eight hours and places a strong emphasis on pit stops, rider changes and consistent performance.
