Free Monster Energy Fans’ Thursday starring MCE BSB riders to kick off Big Brands Bash

The MCE British Superbike Championship returns to Brands Hatch this July (21-23) to headline its biggest event of the summer – the ‘Big Brands Bash’! As part of the festivities, the Kent circuit will once again host its popular Monster Energy Fans’ Thursday ahead of the event – free to all visitors.

Fans will be able to enjoy a live chat show with the stars of the UK’s biggest motorsport series throughout the afternoon on the Monster Energy rig near the main entrance, with the riders also taking part in autograph sessions ahead of their first on-track practice action on Friday.

Riders appearing will include Kent hero Shane ‘Shakey’ Byrne; the record-breaking champion is ready to put on a show for his home fans as he takes on young guns Luke Mossey, Jake Dixon and international contenders including Jason O’Halloran and 2015 champion Josh Brookes.

There will also be a two-hour pitlane walkabout from 3pm to 5pm, offering fans a behind-the-scenes look at the teams setting up for the weekend’s activities. Following that, the famous Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit will be open to everyone from 5pm for an official track walk.

MCE British Superbike Championship Series Director Stuart Higgs commented: “The Brands Hatch summer event on the full Grand Prix circuit is always one of the biggest of the season and one that the fans really do come out in force for every year.

“Monster Energy Fans’ Thursday brings spectators closer to the riders, teams and circuit than any other sporting event. This is something we pride ourselves on – being the most fan friendly, accessible series, and we look forward to everyone descending on Brands Hatch for a great summer Superbike party!”

Discounted weekend tickets for the ‘Big Brands Bash’ are available for £35 online at www.brandshatch.co.uk. Under 13s go free.

On-site camping is £20 per adult and the campsite will be open from midday Thursday until midday on the Monday, with a major concert taking place on the Saturday night in aid of the Care After Combat charity – free to all ticket holders.
