Glenn Irwin Parts Ways with Kawasaki

British Superbike Championship rider, Glenn Irwin and the Quattro Plant JG Speedfit Kawasaki team have parted ways by mutual consent.

After a tough season so far in the BSB Championship, Irwin and the team have decided that it is best for both parties if they continue their hunt for success separately.

Despite a fantastic lap record and Superbike race win at the 2019 International Northwest 200, Irwin hasn’t gelled with the Ninja ZX-10RR in the BSB series this year and feels that now is the right time to reset and look towards the future by means of a different path.

Kawasaki Motors UK Senior Racing Coordinator, Ross Burridge said: “Glenn has a long history with Kawasaki, riding for us in a multitude of classes and achieving numerous successes along the way.

“We signed Glenn on to the team with the hope of retaining the British Championship title this year, but for a myriad of reasons it hasn’t worked out.

“I would like to personally thank Glenn for his efforts in trying to turn his season around and for his tremendous achievement at the Northwest 200. Best of luck in what the future holds for you Glenn.”
