VisionTrack To Partner PBM Ducati In 2020

Reigning Bennetts British Superbike champions, Paul Bird Motorsport, are delighted to announce  that multi-award winning video-telematics provider VisionTrack will take over as title sponsors for the Penrith-based team in 2020.

Based in Tunbridge Wells, Kent, VisionTrack has amassed 17 technology, innovation and fleet awards since its inception in 2016 and has become Europe’s leading cloud-based Video Telematics and Industrial IoT solution provider, with many of the largest fleets internationally utilising their technology.

VisionTrack is part of a group with a turnover in excess of £2 billion and employing over 4,500 staff, with offices throughout Europe. The company’s innovative products and technology deliver a range of benefits, including visual insights into driver behaviour and significant reductions in incidents and insurance claims, whilst improving visibility and reducing fuel costs.

Having re-signed 2015 BSB champion and runner-up in the 2019 Bennetts British Superbike Championship Josh Brookes, who will team up with the experienced Christian Iddon, both riders will have a 2020 VisionTrack Ducati Panigale V4 R at their disposal for the 27-race series.

An ultra-successful season in 2019 saw the team win their seventh BSB title with rookie Scott Redding being crowned champion just five points ahead of Brookes who between them won 21 of the 27 races to end up 1-2 in the standings.

In recognition of the accomplishment, team boss Paul Bird was honoured by the team behind the design and development of the machine including Ducati CEO Claudio Domenicali, Ducati Corse General Manager Gigi Dall’Igna and Ducati Corse Sporting Director Paolo Ciabatti at their Bologna headquarters this week for his team’s outstanding performance during the past four years. During that time, they have clinched three titles and won 40 races.

The 12 round Bennetts BSB series commences at Silverstone on April 10/12th next year.

Simon Marsh, Managing Director, VisionTrack: “Being massive supporters of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship, the opportunity to join the most successful team in the history of the series was too good to pass by, so we are delighted to be teaming up with Paul Bird Motorsport. We are a rapidly growing company and we look forward to the exposure both trackside and on TV, with the VisionTrack Ducati riders hopefully leading from the front again, which makes it a perfect match and partnership for 2020.”

Paul Bird, Team Owner: “We are delighted to welcome Simon and the rest of the VisionTrack team to PBM Ducati for the 2020 season, we hope to continue our success with them on board. There’s a lot of pressure on us to deliver again after such a successful season in 2019 but we have the riders, the bikes, the team and importantly, the commercial partners to allow us to do that. We are now focussing on our pre-season test schedule to ensure we arrive at Silverstone in shape to defend our title.”
