Statement from MSVR regarding COVID-19 and the 2020 Bennetts British Superbike Championship – MAY 14 UPDATE

Following the latest Government updates, the MCRCB is extending the suspension of permits which authorise Bennetts British Superbike (BSB) events until at least 30 June 2020.

MSVR can also confirm that in addition to the previously advised postponement of the rounds at Silverstone (10/11/12 April), Oulton Park (1/2/3 May) and Donington Park (22/23/24 May), this has been extended to include at least the Snetterton round scheduled for 19/20/21 June.

A new provisional Bennetts BSB calendar has been drafted, taking into account the roadmap of the Government’s phased reopening of activities. This has been undertaken in consultation with the teams, broadcasters and circuits in order to provide the best conditions for a credible, competitive and sustainable BSB Championship in 2020 and beyond. This calendar is intended to be published in the first week of June.
