Rispoli finds further confidence at Silverstone ahead of Oulton Park

Quattro Plant FS-3 Racing’s James Rispoli enjoyed a solid weekend at Silverstone last time out, picking up a seventh-place finish and finding a new found confidence as he heads to Oulton Park for the penultimate round of the Pirelli National Superstock 1000 Championship.

Rispoli qualified well at the home of British Motorsport, notching up a tenth place start in tricky wet conditions after working hard with his team throughout the free practice sessions on a new direction with the set up in mixed conditions.

The Floridian made a great start and chased down the leading group as he occupied fifth place, battling with Championship leader Danny Buchan following the opening set of laps.

By mid race, Rispoli dropped back to seventh place, and battled hard to the flag, keeping Adam Jenkinson at bay to pick up nine Championship points.

It’s a quick turnaround for the 26 year old, as he heads to Cheshire and the fans favourite Oulton Park for the penultimate round of the Championship this weekend.

Rispoli has enjoyed success at the 2.6 mile circuit in the past, and with his enhanced feeling and improved confidence on board his Kawasaki ZX10-RR, he expects to be back at the front once again this weekend.

James Rispoli said: “Silverstone was a really good weekend for me and the team, we went there in high spirits and it’s a good track for me. We had a new direction to go in with the bike, and it worked. We didn’t get a lot of dry track time and in the race, I finished only five seconds off the lead, it felt good to be battling back at the front again.

“This weekend I’m really, really stoked for, Oulton Park is a good track for me, and in the wet we have good pace there, but we don’t know what the weather will do. The bike handles really well at Oulton Park, it suits the flowing nature of the track. I expect to be fighting up at the front again, dicing it up with the front guys because I have my confidence back.”
