FIRST PERSON/OPINION Via e-mail: We have had shoplifters at BuyMoto.com before but never an all out break-the-doors-open burglary like what occurred on Monday morning of this week (9/11/06). Thieves pryed open our doors and took off with a significant amount of helmets (Arai, Shoei and KBC including about 6 of our KBC Repsol Replica Limited Edition helmets), Spidi suits and jackets, and Alpinestars leathers. The loss right now is very significant. We believe the thieves have been at our store before and are familiar with motorcycle parts and accessories brands (due to the selectiveness of what they took). We have filed a police report and started to take more measures to secure the store. Among the items stolen include my personal SPIDI one-piece Scott Russell replica leathers (blue/white/red/black). This particular SPIDI suit has road rash in most areas of the suit as well and has significant sentimental value to me. We are hoping we can reach out to folks who may have any leads or have seen or heard anything related to this crime. Please contact us at [email protected] While the loss is significant and financially stresses BuyMoto.com, we are glad that our employees are safe and that our business can continue to serve our friends and fellow riders. To our wonderful customers, thank you for your continued support.
