JC Camacho Takes his Second Track Record of the Season at Eagles Canyon Raceway
Fifth Track Record of 2022 for the Pirelli DIABLO Superbike Range
ATLANTA – Pirelli Tire North America captured its fifth absolute motorcycle track record of the 2022 season with JC Camacho at Eagles Canyon Raceway in Decatur, Texas. The new lap record of 1:54.836 came during the Central Motorcycle Roadracing Association (CMRA) series on Sunday, August 7. It marked the second track record of the season for Camacho who relied on the performance of Pirelli’s DIABLO Superbike slicks.
“That’s two track records on the board this year,” said Camacho. “We did it once at Cresson and backed it up again at Eagles Canyon Raceway this past weekend. It’s a huge win for us! I think we’ve really found something with the way the bike is working and the Pirelli tire options we have from track to track are a huge piece of the puzzle. Only time will tell when we hit the track again, but I’m pumped to keep the momentum rolling!”
Camacho’s new lap record was set in the Formula 1 Expert class using Pirelli’s DIABLO Superbike SC1 125/70R17 front and DIABLO Superbike SC0 200/65R17 rear slicks aboard his Kawasaki Ninja® ZX™-10R.

JC has been on a roll lately and putting in some impressive rides at each racetrack he visits,” said Oscar Solis, Senior Racing Manager, Pirelli. “The competition between all the riders is pretty cool and now JC and Stefano Mesa are tied at two track records apiece this season. We can’t wait to see who the first rider is to reach three with their DIABLO Superbike slicks!”
Camacho’s second lap record of the season comes just one week after Vasiliy Zhulin set a new lap record around NC Bike. Racers across North America continue to showcase Pirelli’s DIABLO Superbike range as the go-to tire choice for setting lap records and reaching the top step of the podium when a spec tire rule is not implemented. Reward prizes are offered to riders who set a new motorcycle track record while using Pirelli race compound tires.
