Pro 6 GP series confirms class sponsor package

Toronto, ON – The new Pro 6 GP race series, based at Calabogie Motorsports Park south west of Ottawa, ON, has now confirmed their complete class sponsorship support package for 2021.  Pro 6 GP will stage four series events at Calabogie in 2021, two of these including the participation of the National Championship motorcycle road racing series, CSBK.

The Calabogie venue is one of the most popular race circuits in North America, with twenty turns over a 5.05-kilometer-long lap winding through the Ottawa Valley.

The Feature class in the Pro 6 GP series will be called Pro Superbike powered by BMW Motorrad Canada.

At the opening two events of the Series, June 4-5 and July 10-11, this class will run in conjunction with the National Feature division and televised on TSN, The Sports Network.  Pro 6 Cycle also provide trackside access during Track days to a small demo fleet of new BMW two-wheeled offerings, this popular program entering its seventh summer.

The equivalent class for newer racers, Amateur Superbike, will be known as Motul Amateur Superbike for the upcoming season at Pro 6 GP.  Motul are a premier lubricant in the two and four-wheeled world, supporting a wide range of top racing teams, series, and venues.

Yamaha Motor Canada have signed on with season one of Pro 6 GP to sponsor the two Middleweight Divisions, for riders 40 years of age and older (40 +) and competitors older than age 50 (50 +).  Yamaha provide a wide range of R models that will compete at Calabogie, with the 1000cc R1, the Middleweight 600 class R6 and the popular Lightweight Sport Bike offering, the 300cc displacement R3.

Sebastien Tremblay is a popular competitor with the CSBK tour and won both Liqui Moly Pro Sport Bike races in last year’s COVID-19 abbreviated season.  Tremblay’s S.T. Motorsport Shop, just outside Montreal, QC in St-Eustache, will back the Heavyweight Challenge category for racers forty years of age and older.

The Heavyweight class for racers above 50 years of age in Pro 6 GP will be known as the SpeedFactory67 50 + Heavyweight Challenge.  SpeedFactory67 belongs to Herve Remetter and Vincent Levillan from the Quebec City suburb of Terrebonne.

Class sponsorship previously confirmed for the Pro 6 GP race series in 2021 include:

-Canadian Kawasaki Motors, backing the purse-paying Pro Sport Bike presented by Kawasaki.

-Liqui Moly support for both the Pro and Amateur portions of popular Lightweight Sport Bike.

-DP Brakes with naming for the Middleweight Production class, DP Brakes Sport Bike.

Dates for the 2021 Pro 6 GP race series at Calabogie Motorsport Park are:  June 5; July 11; July 24 and September 18.  Pro 6 also provide Track Day options on the days surrounding each event at Calabogie.
