Corsi, De Angelis and Cardus with the SpeedUp bike in 2013 The good weather conditions have allowed the NGM Mobile Forward Racing Moto2 riders Ricky Cardus, Simone Corsi and Alex De Angelis to follow through their three days testing program with the SpeedUp before the winter break at the Circuito de Almeria in Spain. Ricky Cardus was only able to take apart on the first day of testing. On this second test at Almeria with the SpeedUp, Ricky was able to test many modifications that and was half a second faster than he was during the previous test. Simone Corsi has found an optimum feeling with the SpeedUp, making him the fastest of the riders during this test. Alex De Angelis tested the FTR bike during the first day; on the second and third day he tested both the 2013 FTR bike and the SpeedUp. The pre season testing for the moto2 riders will begin with a three-day test at Jerez de la Frontera on February 12th. Simone Corsi 3 “The test went really well, we had three days of sun. Even if during the morning the track conditions were a bit cold we still managed to get in a good number of laps that provide us with important feedback for 2013. I have improved my feeling with the SpeedUp. I am happy with both the team and the bike, so far we are working in the right direction.” Alex De Angelis 15 “It’s been difficult for me to test; my finger is not yet fully recovered, I didn’t know the track, this has been my first time testing at Almeria. I tested the FTR on the day and from the second day onward I tested the SpeedUp bike for the first time. I was not able to ride very fast due to my injury but it was useful for me as training and to see how I was doing after the accident. Next season we will ride the SpeedUp bike and seeing how fast Simone (Corsi) was during this test I can tell we have a good bike, even if I wasn’t able to test the bike’s full potential. We have data that we can start working on in order be 100% ready for the 2013 season.” Ricky Cardus 88 “Its a shame I was only able to do one day of testing but regardless of that it was a very good one. I have consolidated my feeling with the SpeedUp. We tested here in Almeria previously and since, we have tested many things that make me confident for next season. I can now go home for the winter break with peace of mind thanks to the feeling obtained during this last test.”
