Mike Smith has been declared the winner of the CCS Expert Unlimited Supersport race. A review of the facts involving Smith’s loss of scoring during four laps of the race showed that his transponder and the part of the seat to which it was attached had fallen off. The machine had passed technical inspection and the transponder location and method of attachment had been approved. Back up manual scoring confirmed that Smith had clearly won the race. Accordingly, the initial decision to penalise Smith has been overturned.
