CCS/Florida Returns to Safety Improved PBIR This Weekend

The Championship Cup Series/Florida returns to the Palm Beach International Raceway this weekend. Since the last motorcycle racing event in October 2013, the track has undergone extensive safety improvements.

Those improvements include the placing of 1400 feet of soft barrier in high-risk areas, along with 1000 weather-protected hay bales in lesser risk areas.

Greg Melka (Tampa) is locked in a close battle with Stefano Mesa (Boca Raton) for the top expert spot in the Florida Region, while Ryan Cabrera (Miami) holds a comfortable lead in the amateur division.
