The Championship Cup Series presented by Michelin Tire is proud to be hosting the 2013 End-of-Summer Cyclefest at Virginia International Raceway this weekend and would like to clarify some information for those attending this event. On Friday the 20th, the full course is rented by ReZoom Motorsports for an automobile track day, so we cannot guarantee access to the paddock until after 7:00pm Friday evening. If they finish earlier and have cleared the paddock, we may be allowed earlier access, but there is no guarantee. With this in mind, CCS will have registration from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at the VIR Raceplex on Ryan’s Way. There you will be able to obtain your weekend credential, camping and electricity for the weekend. You must have your weekend credential before moving into the pre or post entry lines. You must be in line by 7:00pm to take advantage of this early registration. Registration will re-open Saturday morning at 7:00am inside the paddock if you cannot be there by 7:00pm Friday evening. For those arriving after 7:00pm on Friday, credentials will be available at the main gate throughout the event. For those competing in the AMA Road Race Grand Championships, please remember to bring your current AMA Membership card and your 2013 competition license from any recognized organization with you to registration. You will be required to show both cards to register. As a bonus, all competitors in the AMA Road Race Grand Championships, will be eligible to enter the regular CCS classes without obtaining a CCS license. With the projected late entry into the facility, Tech Inspection will open at 6:30am on Saturday the 21st to give competitors a little more time to get through inspection before practice starts at 8:30am.
