CCS Opening Its 2018 Season This Coming Weekend At Homestead-Miami Speedway

CCS Opens 2018 Season at Homestead Miami Speedway This Weekend

The Championship Cup Series opens its 2018 motorcycle road racing season at Homestead Miami Speedway in Homestead Florida this weekend with a Saturday test and tune and a full slate of 19 races on Sunday. When bikes take the track at 9:00am on Saturday it will mark the 31st year that CCS has sanctioned the Florida Roadracing Championship and the fun is just getting started.

After Saturdays practice and timed sessions end at 5:00pm, the 2017 Florida Roadracing Championship Awards Ceremony to celebrate the racers who took part in the championship last year will take place in the Drivers Meeting Room. The top three finishers in all 39 classes will receive awards at this ceremony as well as the special presentation to Top Amateur Gal Golan and Top Expert Lucas Silva to commemorate their fantastic season.

Then Sunday the 11th brings the opening of the 2018 Florida Roadracing Championship with 19 races featuring the 52 CCS classes beginning at 9am. As the opening round of the season, the best racers in Florida along with some of the best riders from around the country will be in attendance to work on their 2018 Championship hopes.

Gates open at 7:00am both days with a Saturday’s fee is $15, Sunday is $20 or come for the weekend for only $30.

The American Sportbike Racing Association (ASRA) is the parent organization to the Championship Cup Series (CCS), the largest amateur motorcycle road racing organization in the United States issuing over 2800 licenses per year. ASRA promotes eight AMA sanctioned Sprint Series and seven AMA sanctioned Team Challenge road racing events for 2018. The CCS Series sanctions 40 events at popular tracks around the United States, including Daytona International Speedway, New Hampshire Motor Speedway, Homestead Miami Speedway, Road America, New Jersey Motorsports Park and Virginia International Raceway among other fine venues. In 2018 ASRA and CCS will provide riders with access to millions of dollars of sponsorship awards through participation in its sanctioned events.
