From a press release issued by CCS South: Motorcycle racing finally comes to Houston! The Championship Cup Series South region begins its inaugural season of racing this weekend, February 2 and 3, 2008 at MSR Houston located 35 miles south of downtown Houston on Hwy. 288. Never before has MSR Houston experienced two-wheeled racing. All we can say is Houston get ready! We chose the MSR Houston facility because it is one of the great tracks in the state of Texas offering our riders a 2.38 mile, 17 turn course specifically maintained for the motorsport enthusiast. www.msrhouston.com Seeing is believing but riding is proof. Gates are open 7am to 6pm Saturday and Sunday. The green flag will drop Sunday at 9:30 a.m. for the GT series. Then it gets mixed up with GT Lights and the GTU races close out the morning. Races resume after lunch with everyone’s favorite, the sprint races. There is racing for everyone as the sprints have 21 classes of races. Think you have what it takes? Although the pre-registration deadline has passed, registrations will be accepted race weekend. Visit the website www.ccs-south.com for your race schedule. The CCS series offers a fast-paced, action-packed day for the whole family. The Championship Cup Series has been the Leader in Sportsman level motorcycle road racing since 1984. With 70+ sanctioned events each year all over the United States and over $10 million in sponsor contingencies, no one even comes close to offering the opportunities that CCS Racing provides. We will see you at the checkered flag.
