Six for Six at New Jersey for Rodio Racing

Gus Rodio won every race he entered during the July 4th CCS weekend at New Jersey Motorsports Park.

Saturday saw the first of the 500 specific races, with Gus taking a commanding lead over the competition eventually winning by nearly a full minute after 12 laps. He repeated the dominant win in 500 SuperSport with a 24 second gap to 2nd place. Gus rounded out Saturday with his 3rd win in UltraLightweight SuperBike.

“This is my home track, and a lot of friends and family come to hang out with us when we’re here,” Gus said. “It’s great to have a nice, low pressure weekend where I can just relax a bit and work on some fine tuning of my riding compared to a MotoAmerica event.”

Sunday brought a warm-up race win in Lightweight SuperSport after a race long battle with a KTM Duke 790 that eventually was disqualified due to illegal wheels for the class. The wins continued with 500 SuperBike and a runaway 30 second gap in Moto3 bringing the total to six wins for the weekend.

Rodio Racing will race one more local round in preparation for the MotoAmerica Liqui Moly Junior Cup round at Road Atlanta on August 1st.
