Celtic Racing would like to thank Yamaha and GYTR for their support in the 2007 season. It is with great regret that due to factory budget cuts Celtic Racing and Yamaha will not be partnering up again for the 2008 season. We at Celtic Racing feel that our relationship with Yamaha was a key ingredient to a successful season and hope for the possibility of an opportunity to work with them in the future. Celtic Racing is very proud of the accomplishments that we have made over the years and the opportunity to work with some very talented riders. We are excited Patrick “PJ” Jacobsen has progressed to the MotoGP academy, and that Chaz Davies was invited to race the last rounds of the MotoGP championship. The success of these riders has truly made for an exciting year. Celtic Racing would like to thank all of the sponsors and people who have helped us in 2007 and years past. Celtic Racing Owner Barry Gilsenan, “We are saddened that with the success we have had with the Yamaha R6 this year we cannot continue next year. We are actively searching for other partnerships to enable us to remain competitors in the AMA. With industry sales being down and all of the factory race budget cuts it may be hard for many privateer teams like ourselves to survive in the AMA Series.” Looking back at 2007, two pole positions and two podium finishes in our first full AMA season; Celtic Racing would like to thank the following sponsors who helped make it a successful year: Yamaha, GYTR, Dunlop, Elf Lubricants, SBS Brakes, On The Throttle TV, Armour Bodies, Team Pro Motion, Zero Gravity, Street and Competition, Regina Chain, STM, The Old Village Inne, Siamsa Irish Pub, Thermosman Suspension, and all of the individuals who gave their time and hard work. Barry Gilsenan can be contacted at (914) 980-8777.
