Three-time AMA Superbike Champion Doug Chandler has pulled out of the two AMA Superbike races this weekend at California Speedway even though he recorded the ninth-fastest time on his No Limit Motorsports Honda CBR954RR in Friday’s Superbike qualifying session.

“We’re not ready yet,” Chandler told Roadracingworld.com. “We’re spread a little thin and to do two more races would be too much. We’re going to race Formula Xtreme and 600 (Supersport).”

Chandler’s time, 1:28.081, was the fastest time recorded by a non-factory Superbike rider.
