The final round of the California State Championship, scheduled to run with the Willow Springs Motorcycle Club on Sept. 18-19, will see two additional sprint race classes added to WSMC’s usual schedule: Formula Femme and Formula 40 Middleweight. Formula Femme is for female races on motorcycles of all displacements. Formula 40 Middleweight is for riders 40 years old and up on 600cc inline four-cylinder machines, while Formula 40 Lightweight will host riders on 649cc twins. Due to the number of entrants, the California Endurance Challenge will be run as a four-hour endurance race instead of a six-hour race. The entry fee for the four-hour contest has been cut to $400. Teams that signed up for the six-hour event can opt out if desired and receive a full refund, or opt in for the four-hour and receive a $50 refund. Entries for the four-hour race will be accepted until race day Saturday, Sept. 18. Following the sprint races on Sunday, the CSC will host its awards banquet. The event will be catered at the track, with a barbeque menu of chicken and ribs, corn, green salad, potato, desert, and a beverage of choice available for $20 at the door. The banquet is open to regular WSMC racers as well as California State Championship participants. Those interested in attending should email [email protected]. TrackDaz, Southern California’s premier track day provider, has scheduled a track day for practice on Friday, Sept 17. There is a discounted racer rate. During that event, TrackDaz will provide a qualifying session that will set grid positions for the endurance event. For more information and to sign up, visit www.trackdaz.com Schedule for the weekend’s practice and race events is available at: ~http://www.wsmcracing.com/~. Pre-entry deadline for races other than the endurance event is 1:30 p.m., Wed, Sept. 15 .
