2Fast Motorcycle Track Days & Instruction (www.2-fast.org), the sponsoring organization of the annual “Seattle 100″ track day fundraiser, is pleased to announce the creation of a new two member “Team Seattle 100″ race team. Team Seattle 100 will compete in both Washington Motorcycle Road Racing Association (WMRRA) and Oregon Motorcycle Road Racing Association (OMRRA) events during the 2006 season, with the possibility of an AMA appearance at Miller Motorsports Park June 16th 18th. Last year’s Seattle 100, seen on Speed TV’s “Two Wheeled Tuesday” with Greg White, raised $93,000 in total donations, with proceeds going to The NephCure Foundation (www.nephcure.org). Along with Greg White, the Seattle 100 has been attended by AMA stars Jake Zemke, Jason DiSalvo, Josh Hayes, Jason Pridmore, Jake Holden, Jimmy Moore, Tony Meiring, and even Hollywood comedian/producer/actor David Alan Grier. Team Seattle 100 will consist of two racers, Brad Gua and David Robins. Brad Gua, WMRRA and OMRRA #51 and AMA #251, has been a top finisher in the highly competitive 600 and 750 classes. He was also the 600 TFS Class Champion, winning 5 of the 8 rounds in 2005. David Robins, WMRRA #943, joins Team Seattle 100 after his introductory year in WMRRA’s novice class where he had several outstanding finishes. 2Fast Co-Owner and Director of the Seattle 100, Brian Orton, says that having a race team will help the Seattle 100 with promotion of the event in the race pits, and outside of the pits. “Team Seattle 100 will be racing for a higher purpose, for the benefit of a not-for-profit organization [NephCure] that helps kids fighting kidney disease. That already makes this team unique. With the local and national publicity the Seattle 100 has obtained, we’re confident that having this race team will afford us the opportunity to reach new places and faces beyond just the racing community. We’ll be seen in dealerships, at local schools and community functions, and we’ll be heard on radio and/or television. For the Seattle 100 and our team’s sponsors, this will be fantastic.” For more information on the Seattle 100, the race team, the NephCure Foundation or 2Fast Motorcycle Track Days & Instruction, Brian Orton can be reached by email at [email protected] or by phone at 206-715-4161.
