Chris PERIS, Suzuki GSX-R600, -91.388 seconds More, from a press release issued by Winston Ten Kate Honda: WINSTON’S CHARPENTIER GRABS TENTH SUCCESSIVE TEN KATE VICTORY Winston rider Sébastien Charpentier scorched to his fourth win of the season in this afternoon’s sixth round World Supersport championship race at Misano, Italy. In doing so, the Frenchman secured his Ten Kate team’s tenth successive World Supersport victory. Charpentier’s team-mate, Katsuaki Fujiwara, finished the 23-lap race around the 4.060km Misano circuit in third place, behind Frenchman Fabien Foret on another Honda CBR600RR. Ronald ten Kate team manager: “Even though our string of pole positions ended during qualifying here, our race wins continue to rack up, which is fantastic for the whole team. We could all see what a hard race it was both on the tyres and the riders but Sébastien put the hammer down towards the end of the race and that caused Foret some problems. Today’s win is special because it hasn’t been an easy weekend for the team. We’ve concentrated from the first free practice on getting a good race setting and that strategy has been justified with our results today.” Sébastien Charpentier first “I’m so happy because Misano is one of my least favourite circuits and it has not been easy this weekend. I’ve had a couple of crashes and the conditions have been very difficult to set up the bike properly. After a strange start, when the lights were doing some strange things, I managed to settle into a rhythm and actually enjoyed the race. It was great fun and I feel OK because I am in good physical shape. The result is very good for the championship and a great reward for the team, whom I thank for all their hard work this weekend.” Katsuaki Fujiwara third “It was a really good race, although the start was a little mad with everyone going very fast into the first corner. But the tyres were sliding very much not so bad on the slower corners but on the fast left handers going onto the back straight it was very, very difficult. For the last ten laps, the tyres were finished so I just had to ease back a little and take third place. Sébastien was riding very well and was using the same tyres as me, so maybe my setting could have been a little different.” World Supersport, Misano results (23 laps, 93.38km): 1 Sébastien Charpentier FRA (Winston Ten Kate Honda) 38m14.344s, 2 Fabien Foret FRA (Honda) +0.496s, 3 Katsuaki Fujiwara JPN (Winston Ten Kate Honda) +4.981, 4 Kevin Curtain AUS (Yamaha) +13.367, 5 Broc Parkes AUS (Yamaha) +19.396, 6 Simone Sanna ITA (Honda) +22.277, 7 Javier Fores ESP (Suzuki) +26.558, 8 Alessandro Antonello ITA (Kawasaki) +26.871, 9 Cristiano Migliatori ITA (Kawasaki) +26.901, 10 Tauto Lauslehto FIN (Honda) +27.564.
