GEICO Motorcycle Honda team to appear at Long Beach bike show LONG BEACH, Calif. (Dec. 4) – GEICO Motorcycle Honda’s new Daytona SportBike rider Jake Zemke, along with team owner Chris Ulrich, will make an appearance this weekend at the International Motorcycle Show at the Long Beach Convention Center. “I really enjoy this show,” Ulrich said. “It draws the core of the West Coast motorcycle industry. This show draws a pretty broad spectrum, from the casual riders to the most hard-core motorcycle guys around. It’s a great mix and a fun way to keep in touch with our fans. I look forward to seeing a lot of people out there.” Zemke and Ulrich will be taking part in two AMA road racing panels and Q&A sessions, which will be moderated by Greg White, television analyst for MotoGP and World SuperBike racing. The first half-hour panel starts at 10 a.m. and the second at 3 p.m. Both sessions will be followed by an autograph session. “I’m looking forward to how Greg White is going to handle things,” Ulrich said. “There are a few other guys on the panel besides Jake and myself, and I look forward to the discussions we’re going to have about AMA road racing.” Ulrich is excited for Zemke because this will be his first official event as a member of the GEICO Motorcycle Honda team. “Fans remember the success Jake had on Hondas in the past,” Ulrich said. “We’ve done a little testing for 2014 already and Jake has a great feel for the bike. It’s made us all the more excited to get back to Daytona and get the season going again.” The Long Beach International Motorcycle Show kicks off at 4 p.m. on Friday at the Long Beach Convention Center. Doors open at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. on Sunday. For ticket pricing and other event information, log on to www.motorcycleshows.com/long-beach.
