New season, series holds great promise for GEICO Suzuki’s Ulrich

AUSTIN, Texas (March 5) — With major changes coming to the motorcycle road racing world this year, Superbike rider Chris Ulrich is primed to begin MotoAmerica action with his new GEICO Suzuki.

“I’m looking forward to getting back on the bike finally,” Ulrich said. “I’m especially looking forward to riding my new Superbike. We changed manufacturers over the winter, so I’m going to be racing a Suzuki again. I’ve had a lot of success on the Suzuki brand and it’s something I’m really comfortable with. It should be a great new setup for us this season.”

Even though the official start to the 2015 season is just over a month away, Ulrich had plenty on his plate during the off-season to get race-ready.

“I managed to stay busy,” Ulrich said. “We have had a lot of work ahead of us with the new series and especially with using a new brand, so I have managed to sneak out a few times and ride my street bike on the track. We had a bit of fun and I know it helps to keep the brain sharp and make sure everything still works right.”

Aside from the excitement of the racing season finally getting underway, Ulrich is just as enthused to have GEICO returning for the journey.

“We have a great relationship with GEICO, and we’ve won three championships for them,” Ulrich said. “I’m very pleased that we can represent them again in 2015 and continue that relationship into its seventh year.

“I’m happy that they have faith in me, and I’m looking forward to rewarding them with good results and good exposure this year.”

The 2015 MotoAmerica season will kick off at the Circuit of the Americas, April 10-12, in Austin.
