Contrary to rumors making the rounds on Internet forums, no one will replace injured Cameron Beaubier on the Y.E.S. Graves Yamaha YZF-R6 for the Triumph Big Kahuna Atlanta event scheduled for April 20-22 at Road Atlanta. Rumors circulating Thursday said Daytona 200 winner Joey Pascarella would ride at Road Atlanta in place of Beaubier, who is out recovering from surgery to repair a broken knee cap. But reached by phone this afternoon and asked if anyone was going to be riding Beaubier’s bike at Road Atlanta, Graves Motorsports Team Owner Chuck Graves told Roadracingworld.com, “No.” Beaubier told Roadracingworld.com last week that he hopes to return for Round Three of the GoPro Daytona SportBike Championship May 4-6 at Infineon Raceway. But Graves said, “It’s a wait and see. Let’s see how he heals up. He’s a young guy. There’s no sense in getting him back on a racetrack before he’s ready. The day he says he’s ready then we’ll have a bike for him to ride.”
