In a nailbiting end to the 2010 season, young gun Javelin Broderick upset the field by winning his Lightweight Twin Superstock Expert race and winning the 2010 championship by a single point! Javelin Broderick – “Yea it was a close one for sure! I was in third position in the championship but only trailing by 3 points to first. I knew I needed to win but the order of the finish had to be correct to get the championship. If second and third place were reversed, I would tie for first but may have lost it due to race wins. The order it did finish in secured the title by one point and I am so happy for the team and all of our sponsors”. Broderick campaigned Continental Tires all season on the Suzuki SV650 even though they were new to the West Coast and not the preferred tire by many. Broderick Adds – “It was funny because our team knew the tires were competitive but so many riders were just sticking to what they had and weren’t willing to experiment with a new brand? I thought it was odd because to win, you have to test. If you don’t experiment and give new stuff some time to get used to it, you never move forward. We certainly had an advantage over our competition with the grip and handling of the Conti’s. We won the race with over a three second gap to second and that was after I backed off so yea, I would say that the Conti Race Attack COMP tires do their job just fine” Broderick also secured 2nd place in the WERA West “B” Superstock Expert championship aboard his Conti-Shod Suzuki GSXR600. Broderick – “We plan on campaigning the Continental brand from Superbiketires.net for the entire 2011 season on both our GSXR600 Superstock and our new GSXR600 Superbike that we will be adding for the 2011 season in WERA and hopefully AFM”. A thank you to all of our sponsors for the 2010 season: Continental Tires, Superbiketires.net, Royal Purple, NEXX Helmets, Arlen Ness Leathers, Race Tech, PSR-Powerstands, Galfer Brakes, Dynojet Research, The Track Club, Vanhap Photography, Applied Powdercoat, Aksland Real Estate, Safari Cycle Salvage, Andrew Swensen Design, Spyder Leatherworks, Hindle Exhaust, Woodcraft, Motion Pro, Zero Gravity and Sunstar Sprockets. Zoe Rem – 3rd in AFM Formula AFemme Championship Zoe used an aging CBR600RR on Bridgestone tires to battle riders on newer machines in AFM this season. She also rode in AMA Nationals including finishing 2nd in the TTXGP class at Road America! Congratulations Zoe and thanks for the support! Mitch Joseph – 2nd in Clubman Lightweight I met Mitch at the first AFM round at Buttonwillow, where he won his first race on Bridgestone slicks and never looked back – finishing on the podium or winning most of the races he entered on his SV650 with the help of a very close-knit support team. Congrats on a great season, Mitch! Steve ‘Papi’ Chappell – 2nd in 1650cc Production Motorcycle – Bonneville Nationals While many of our customers compete in roadracing, Steve is going after top speed records and used Bridgestone race tires on his Kawasaki ZX-14 to achieve #1 Record Holder at El Mirage in class with a 191.895 MPH speed in the 1.3 mile course. #2 in class at Bonneville with a 199.480MPH speed and a 200.076MPH exit speed on the long 5 mile course.
