CMRA 2019 Season Finale Happening This Coming Weekend At MSR Houston

This coming weekend, October 25-27, the Central Motorcycle Roadracing Association (CMRA) hosts its final round of the 2019 season at MSR Houston in Angleton, Texas. The track is located 13 miles south of Highway 6 off Highway 288. MSR Houston is a 17-turn, 2.38 mile full road course.

Friday is a full day of CMRA Racer Practice, CMRA New Racer School, and Track Experience for the track day riders that want to experience the same track the racers are racing. Bring a friend along to ride Track Experience and help you pit! Track Experience is $150 and offers an optional mock race at the end of the day!

Lunchtime time on Friday will be a Going Away Pizza Party to celebrate the end of season and the retirement of one of our racers – Jim Whitten. Party starts at 12:15 in Tech, stop by for some slices and mingling!

Saturday’s schedule includes Mini, Ultra-Lightweight, and Championship Sprint races, the third round of the Ultra-Lightweight Endurance Series, and Solo 30 sprint races.

Sunday’s schedule has a full slate of exciting racing featuring The Legends Race – Formula 40 HW Expert Round 2 by The Realtime Group/Shakespeare. This race has a cash purse of $300 – 1st, $200 – 2nd, $150 – 3rd, $125 – 4th, and $100 – 5th will run in the afternoon, along with the TX Toy Sales – C Superbike Expert in the morning paying out $75 – 1st, $50 – 2nd, $25 – 3rd.

The Jennifer Millsap Foundation “Fight Like A Girl” award is also on this weekend, with $250 going to the expert or novice racer with the most accumulated points in the overall championship classes. A spectator lap of the track will be conducted during the lunch break, schedule and weather permitting.

Gates open each day at 6:00 a.m. and we race rain or shine! Weekend entry into the event is only $20 on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and just $15 on Sunday. There is a $5 wristband refund for participants leaving Saturday night – turn in your wristband at the gate as you leave. Tickets are good for the entire weekend. Ride your street bike to the event and you’ll pay just $5 for entry on both Saturday and Sunday! Kids 12 and under are free. A spectator lap of the track will be conducted during the lunch break on Sunday, schedule and weather permitting.

Please note that NO PETS are allowed at any of the CMRA race events.
