This coming weekend, November 9 – 11, 2012, the Central Motorcycle Roadracing Association (CMRA) is back for the final round of the 2012 season at Texas World Speedway in College Station, Texas. Post-entry for the races is available at the track beginning 3 pm Friday, November 9, 2012. The weekend schedule kicks off on Friday with the CMRA License School, racer practice and street-rider track day all provided by Lone Star Track Days (www.lstd.com). Saturday’s schedule includes a full slate of Mini sprint races followed by a 2-Hour Mini Endurance race and a 4-Hour Big Bike endurance race. Due to the end of Daylight Savings Time, the times of the races on Saturday have been revised. The revised schedule can be found here: ~http://www.cmraracing.com/pdf/2012/Schedules/TWS_NOV_2012_SCHEDULE_2PG.pdf~. Immediately following the trophy presentation, the CMRA will be providing burgers and brew at our Last Race of the Year Party. Everyone is encouraged to bring something to share with the group. There will also be an Open Membership Meeting and an introduction of the 2013 Board of Directors. Let’s make this a great evening of food and fun to finish off the 2012 racing season! Sunday’s race schedule resumes with a full day’s worth of exciting and competitive Big Bike sprint races. We’re looking forward to a big turnout with great weather. Don’t forget about the TWS Persistence Prize for the sprint races being generously offered by CMRA racer, David Sprague in honor of his wife Dawn and other cancer fighters who have to keep pushing to win. The cash purse of $1000 will be paid out to the top five sprint racers who accumulate the most overall points in all their races on Sunday. The more classes entered, the better chances to win. We would also especially like to thank HighPerformanceCrew.com for jumping on board to sponsor the Formula 1 Expert class with a $500 purse. Weekend entry into the event is only $15 on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and just $10 on Sunday. Tickets are good for the entire weekend. Ride your street bike to the event and you’ll pay just $5 for entry on both Saturday and Sunday! Kids 12 and under are free. A spectator lap of the track will be conducted during the lunch break on Sunday, schedule and weather permitting. A special discount for 50% off one item of official CMRA merchandise is available by printing the flyer from the CMRA Home Page: ~http://www.cmraracing.com/images/hp/cmra_flyer_tws_nov2012.pdf~ and bringing it to the merchandise booth at the track. Please look for the brand new 2013 Ladies of CMRA event calendar which will be available for the first time this weekend at the CMRA merchandise booth. Please note that no pets are allowed at any of the CMRA race events. On behalf of our racers, the CMRA would like thank our 2012 Class Sponsors including: 212Decals.com, Fastline Motorcycle School, HighPerformanceCrew.com, House of Paint Designs, Island Racing Services, K&N Motorcycles, Lone Star Track Days, Moto Liberty, North Texas Superbikes, RaceworX, North Texas Superbikes, OnRoad OffRoad Cycles and South Central Race Center.
