The Central Motorcycle Roadracing Association would like to invite mini road racers across the country to the upcoming Shogun Motorsports 8-hour endurance race at picturesque Oak Hill Raceway on Saturday, June 14th. This will be the fourth round of the Shogun Motorsports-sponsored CMRA Mini Endurance Series, and this 8-hour race is also a crossover event with the Texas Mini Grand Prix organization and will also feature the CMRA big bike sprint series races on Sunday. The four CMRA mini endurance classes allow participation by virtually every size mini and engine configuration currently being raced in the United States, and CMRA competition allows for licensed riders as young as 10-years-old. CMRA mini endurance rules allow for up to five riders, but each rider cannot ride more than two hours consecutively without a 30-minute break. Friday practice will be available to all riders. A purse and contingencies are available to the top three in each class. Some general examples of machine eligibility per the class rules are as follows: Formula 4 85cc 2-stroke water-cooled single in GP chassis, 150cc 4-stroke water-cooled single in GP chassis, Kawasaki Ninja 250 using Superstock rules, CRF230F in Supermotard trim Formula 5 65cc 2-stroke water-cooled single in GP chassis, Aprilia 75cc Superbike, CRF150F in Supermotard trim, 150cc 4-stroke air-cooled single in GP chassis Formula 6 60cc 2-stroke water-cooled single and 135cc 4-stroke air-cooled single using Superbike or Formula rules, NSR50R Superbike, TTR125 Superbike, No GP chassis in entire class Formula 7 50cc 2-stroke water-cooled single in stock configuration, 60cc 2-stroke air-cooled using Formula rules, 110cc 4-stroke air-cooled using Formula rules, No GP chassis in entire class Oak Hill Raceway is a 1.8 mile road course located in the rolling hills near Henderson, Texas, and is considered by many riders to be the perfect mini track. With lots of elevation changes, blind turns and a good variety of curves, the local saying is, “If you can go fast at Oak Hill, you can go fast anywhere”, and it’s proven in the success of the champions that have cut their teeth at the track, including Spencer, Polen, Schwantz, Hayden and Spies.
