This coming weekend, April 26 – 27, 2014, the Central Motorcycle Roadracing Association (CMRA) is back in action at Eagles Canyon Raceway in Decatur, Texas. Post-entry for the races is available at the track beginning 3 pm Friday, April 25, 2014.

The weekend schedule kicks off on Friday with the CMRA License School, racer practice and street-rider track day all provided by Lone Star Track Days (www.lstd.com). Saturday’s schedule includes a full slate of Lightweight Sprint races followed by the 6 Hour Lightweight Endurance race, and wraps up with round one of the Team 60 Endurance race.

A podium awards ceremony and meet and greet party immediately follows the finalized results of Saturday’s endurance event.

Sunday’s schedule is jam-packed with a full day’s worth of exciting and competitive Big Bike sprint races. The CMRA is proud to announce the return of the Breast Cancer Research Foundation / P1 Racing Formula 1 Expert class. The Breast Cancer Research Foundation and P1 Racing have teamed up to help promote Breast Cancer awareness by offering an $11,000 cash purse to be paid out to the top Formula 1 Expert finishers over the course of the 2014 season. The CMRA kicks in another $400 per weekend when the grid reaches 20 or more racers. A portion of each entry fee is donated to Breast Cancer Research. A total of $5000 was donated during the 2013 race season.

There is live timing and scoring available for all the races via the Race-Monitor App on mobile devices and online at cmraracing.com/timing.html.

The CMRA is also excited to announce Yamaha Power Products coming aboard as a new sponsor. They have provided a new generator for the CMRA’s timing and scoring trailer, several smaller generators for track side timing and scoring equipment, and a power washer. They have also provided two EF2000is generators that will be given away as prizes to CMRA racers during the 2014 season.

Chuck Ware, District Marketing Manager for Yamaha Outdoor Power Equipment said, “We’re very happy to be teaming up with the CMRA to provide premium quality power equipment to run their trackside equipment as well as offering the racers of CMRA a chance to win one of two generators to be given away this season. This is a very natural fit for us because of the organization’s long time standing in the racing community and it’s a great way to showcase the usefulness of our products. Any rider with questions about our generators and specifications can see them at www.yamaha-motor.com/generators.” The Central Motorcycle Roadracing Association is proud to be “Powered By Yamaha Generators”.

Gates open each day at 6:00 a.m. and we race rain or shine! Weekend entry into the event is only $15 on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and just $10 on Sunday. Tickets are good for the entire weekend. Ride your street bike to the event and you’ll pay just $5 for entry on both Saturday and Sunday! Kids 12 and under are free. A spectator lap of the track will be conducted during the lunch break on Sunday, schedule and weather permitting. Bring a cooler or visit the on-site concession located in the club house.

Please note that NO PETS are allowed at any of the CMRA race events.
