CMRA Back In Action at Hallett This Weekend
This weekend, September 22 – 24, 2017, the Central Motorcycle Roadracing Association (CMRA) heads to Hallett Motor Racing Circuit near Tulsa, Oklahoma. This will be the final stop for the CMRA this season at the challenging 1.8 mile, counter-clockwise 11-turn road course.
The weekend’s activities begin Friday with an all-day CMRA racer practice and CMRA License school beginning at 8:00 a.m. Registration opens at 6:30 a.m. and pre-registration is not required. Post-entry for the races is available at the track beginning 6:30 am Friday, September 22.
Saturday’s schedule begins with a full slate of Mini and Ultra Lightweight Sprint races, including the Rainbow Sox Racing – Junior Motard for the youngest racers, ages 8-12 years old, and The Bike Doctors – 500 Classic for the heavyweights of the lightweight divisions. The fourth round of Ultra-Lightweight Endurance begins promptly at 10:30 a.m. with a 6-hour race, featuring the classes of Formula 4, Road & Track Suspension – E Superstock, ULW GP, 500 Classic, and Von Hertell Racing Services – 500 Superstock, and is followed by the third round of the Race Tire Services/Dunlop – Team 60 race.
A trophy presentation sponsored by Leather & Lace Racing Leather Repair and trackside racer/spectator Meet and Greet party sponsored by B&J’s Austin Motorcycle Parts is a great finish to the day’s racing with a Town Hall Meeting immediately following the winner’s circle.
Sunday’s schedule is jam-packed with a full day’s worth of competitive Bridgestone/CMRA Championship Sprint races and a spectator lap at lunchtime. This is also the final round for Century Trucks & Vans – Formula 2 Expert Shoot Out! Class sponsor Century Trucks and Vans will be paying to 10th place in the Formula 2 Expert class, Race #9 on Sunday. Payouts are as follows: 1st $750, 2nd $500, 3rd $300, 4th $200, 5th $100, 6th $75, 7th $50, 8th $30, 9th $20, 10th $10. Get yourself on a Formula 2 legal bike and get in on the winnings! Prize money will be awarded at the lunchtime podium on Sunday immediately following the P1 Racing / Metric Garage/CVC – Formula 1 Expert race.

There is live timing and scoring available for all the races via the Race-Monitor App on mobile devices and online at cmraracing.com/timing.html.
Gates open each day at 6:00 a.m. and we race rain or shine! Weekend entry into the event is only $20 on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, and just $15 on Sunday. Tickets are good for the entire weekend. There is a $5 wristband refund for participants leaving Saturday night – turn in your wristband at the gate as you leave. Ride your street bike to the event and you’ll pay just $5 for entry on both Saturday and Sunday! Kids 12 and under are free. A spectator lap of the track will be conducted during the lunch break on Sunday, schedule and weather permitting.
