This coming weekend, September 19-21, 2014, the Central Motorcycle Roadracing Association (CMRA) will be tearing up the track at MSR Houston in Angleton, Texas. The track is located 13 miles south of Highway 6 off Highway 288. Additional track information is available at their website: www.msrhouston.com

The weekend activities begin at 7:00 a.m. Friday with a CMRA License school, racer practice and street-rider track day provided by Lone Star Track Days (www.lstd.com).

Saturday’s schedule begins with a full slate of Mini and Lightweight Sprint races, including the Four81 Motos-sponsored Grom Challenge, OnRoad OffRoad Racing-sponsored Formula 5, and Rainbow Sox Racing-sponsored Junior Motard class for the youngest racers, ages 8-12 years old. Then the Island Racing Services sponsored Solo 30 Heavyweight and Middleweight classes and MotoMassage.com-sponsored Solo 30 Ultra-Lightweight race are up next, followed by the 6th round of the CMRA Championship Endurance Series, a 4-hour race, which begins promptly at 12:30 p.m. Rounding out Saturday’s racing is the Team 60 1 hour race from 5:30-6:30 pm. A trophy presentation and trackside racer/spectator Meet and Greet party is a welcome finish to the full day of racing.

Sunday’s schedule is jam-packed with a full day’s worth of competitive Big Bike sprint races. Among the exciting classes not to be missed is the Breast Cancer Research Foundation / P1 Racing Formula 1 Expert class. In addition to a cash purse totaling $11,000 paid out to the top Formula 1 Expert finishers over the course of the 2014 season, a portion of each entry fee is donated to Breast Cancer Research. A few of the other weekend purse paying classes include, HighPerformanceCrew.com – Formula 40 HW Expert ($500), RaceworX – A Superstock Expert ($165) and South Central Race Center – C Superstock Expert ($185).
