CMRA at MSR Houston This Weekend

This coming weekend, October 26-28, the Central Motorcycle Roadracing Association (CMRA) hosts its final round of the 2018 season at MSR Houston in Angleton, Texas. The track is located just 30 minutes south of Houston off of Highway 288.

Friday’s activities cover the CMRA Racer Licensing School, the Track Experience, and an all-day racer practice. Registration and Tech open for all activities at 6:30 a.m. The full weekend’s event schedule can be found here:

Saturday’s schedule includes Mini and Ultra-Lightweight Sprint races, the Ultra-Lightweight Endurance, and Solo 30. The day concludes with the trophy presentation and trackside Meet & Greet party sponsored by B&J’s Austin Motorcycle Parts. www.austinmotorcyclesales.com. The end of season Halloween party sponsored by The Realtime Group, will follow the trophy presentation!

Sunday’s schedule is sure to be an action-packed day with a full schedule of competitive CMRA Championship Sprint races. Qualifying rounds start at 9:35 and the green flag is scheduled to fly at 10:25 for the first of the 20 races planned for Sunday. Weather and schedule permitting, a spectator lap of the track will be offered during the lunch break.

Gates open each day at 6:00 a.m. and we race rain or shine! Weekend tickets to the event are only $20 on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, and just $15 on Sunday. There is a $5 wristband refund for participants leaving Saturday night – turn in your wristband at the gate as you leave. Tickets are good for the entire weekend. Ride your street bike to the event and you’ll pay just $5 for entry on both Saturday and Sunday! Kids 12 and under are free. A spectator lap of the track will be conducted during the lunch break on Sunday, schedule and weather permitting.
