This coming weekend, October 5-6, 2013, the Central Motorcycle Roadracing Association (CMRA) is back in action at Texas World Speedway in College Station, Texas. Post-entry for the races is available at the track beginning 3 pm Friday, October 4, 2013. The weekend schedule kicks off on Friday with the CMRA License School, racer practice and street-rider track day all provided by Lone Star Track Days (www.lstd.com). Saturday’s schedule includes a full slate of Mini sprint races followed by the 6-Hour Big Bike endurance races. Sunday’s schedule is jam-packed with a full day’s worth of exciting and competitive Big Bike sprint races. We’re looking forward to a big turnout with great weather and riders from all over the country! The CMRA is also running the exciting changes to the Formula 1 Expert class. Qualifying will be the order of the day for gridding and the qualifying sponsor 212Decals.com is offering $150 cash to the top three qualifiers! The Breast Cancer Research Foundation and P1 Racing have joined forces to help promote Breast Cancer awareness and offer a $600 cash purse to be paid out to the top Formula 1 Expert finishers. The CMRA kicks in another $400 per weekend when the Formula 1 grid reaches 20 or more racers. A portion of each entry fee will be donated to Breast Cancer Research. Gates open each day at 6:00 a.m. and we race rain or shine! Weekend entry into the event is only $15 on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and just $10 on Sunday. Tickets are good for the entire weekend. Ride your street bike to the event and you’ll pay just $5 for entry on both Saturday and Sunday! Kids 12 and under are free. Texas World Speedway parking fee is an additional $5 per vehicle, and is also good for the whole weekend. A spectator lap of the track will be conducted during the lunch break on Sunday, schedule and weather permitting. A special discount for 2 for 1 gate admission (spectators only) is available by printing the flyer from the CMRA Home Page: http://www.cmraracing.com/images/hp/cmra_flyer_tws_oct2013.pdf, and presenting it at the gate.
