CMRA Schedules 12-hour Mini Endurance Race For May 1st At Eagles Canyon Raceway

CMRA 12 Hours of Texas presented by Shogun Motorsports Mini Endurance Race The Central Motorcycle Roadracing Association (CMRA) will be hosting the 12 HOURS of Texas, presented by Shogun Motorsports, to be held at challenging Eagles Canyon Raceway near Decatur, Texas, on Saturday, May 1, 2010. A generous purse payout totaling $5,100 provided by Shogun Motorsports is available to top performing teams across four mini road racing classes. Payout schedule $1250 – Overall Champion (plus class win) $800 – 2nd overall (plus class win) $600 – 3rd overall (plus class win) $400 – 4th overall (plus class win) $300 – 5th overall (plus class win) $250 – 1st in class $100 – 2nd in class $75 – 3rd in class The four CMRA mini classes allow participation by virtually every size mini and engine configuration currently being raced in the United States. Class structure and bike requirement information is available at www.cmraracing.com . Due to the length of the event, practice on the day of racing will not be available. However, one hour of practice will be hosted in the afternoon of Friday, April 30. Additionally, Lone Star Track Days (www.lstd.com) will hold a track day and CMRA License School at Eagles Canyon Raceway on Friday, April 30 immediately preceding the CMRA 12 HOURS of Texas, presented by Shogun Motorsports. Racers should contact LSTD directly for information about the track day. CMRA mini class competition is open to licensed riders as young as 10 years old. Guest racers presenting a current license from most national and regional road racing organizations will be able to purchase a one-weekend CMRA license to participate in this event.
