CMRA Schedules Mini Fest For June 13-14 At Oak Hill Raceway

The Central Motorcycle Roadracing Association would like to make a special invitation to all mini, 125GP, and motard racers across the country to the Shogun Motorsports Mini Fest at challenging Oak Hill Raceway the weekend of June 13-14. The weekend schedule will present plenty of great racing including the Shogun 8-hour mini endurance, Shogun 125 GP Classic, and Shogun Motard Challenge. The Shogun Motorsports 8-hour mini endurance race on June 13th will be the third round in the 2009 CMRA Mini-Endurance Championship and is also a crossover event with the Texas Mini Gran Prix organization. The four CMRA mini endurance classes allow participation by virtually every size mini and engine configuration currently being raced in the United States, and CMRA competition allows for licensed riders as young as 10-years-old. Friday practice will be available to all riders. A large purse and contingencies will be available for this exciting endurance event. Some general examples of machine eligibility per the class rules are as follows: * Formula 4 85cc 2-stroke water-cooled single in GP chassis, 150cc 4-stroke water-cooled single in GP chassis, Kawasaki Ninja 250 using Superstock rules, Formula 5 65cc 2-stroke water-cooled single in GP chassis, Aprilia 75cc Superbike, CRF150F in Supermotard trim, 150cc 4-stroke air-cooled single in GP chassis Formula 6 60cc 2-stroke water-cooled single and 135cc 4-stroke air-cooled single using Superbike or Formula rules, NSR50R Superbike, TTR125 Superbike, No GP chassis in entire class Formula 7 50cc 2-stroke water-cooled single in stock configuration, 60cc 2-stroke air-cooled using Formula rules, 110cc 4-stroke air-cooled using Formula rules, No GP chassis in entire class June 14th will feature the Shogun Motorsports 125 GP and the Shogun Motorsports Motard Classic. With dedicated practice, qualifying, extended race lengths, and generous purses, these races promise to offer a challenging weekend to 125 and motard racers. Oak Hill Raceway is a 1.8 mile road course in the rolling hills near Henderson, Texas. Oak Hill is considered to be one of the most challenging road courses in the south and its technical layout makes it the perfect race course for small displacement motorcycles. Many champions including Ben Spies, Colin Edwards, and Nicky Hayden honed their skills at Oak Hill.
