CMRA Season-Opener Will Be At Mercedes-Benz of Sugar Land Road Course This Coming Weekend

The Central Motorcycle Roadracing Association Kicks Its 2011 Season Into Gear At Mercedes-Benz of Sugar Land Road Course This Weekend This coming weekend, February 18 – 20, 2011, the Central Motorcycle Roadracing Association (CMRA) kicks off its 2011 season at Mercedes-Benz of Sugar Land Road Course in Angleton, Texas. The three-day event marks the first event of the 2011 race season, and also marks the return of the CMRA to the 2.38 mile, 17-turn Angleton, Texas venue for the first time since 2008. The weekend’s schedule gets rolling on Friday with a CMRA-sanctioned racer practice and CMRA license school. Saturday’s schedule includes a full slate of Mini sprint races, a 2-hour Mini endurance race and a 5-hour Big Bike endurance race. The Sunday race schedule is chock full of Big Bike sprint races that are bound to be both competitive and entertaining. Gate fee for a four-day pass (Thursday through Sunday) is $20, while gate fee for Friday and Saturday is just $15, and a Sunday only gate pass is only $10. Ride your street bike to the event and you’ll pay just $5 for entry on both Saturday and Sunday! Kids 12 and under are free. A spectator lap of the track will be conducted during the lunch break on Sunday, schedule and weather permitting. (Please remember that pets are not allowed at the race track.)
