Colin Edwards, 72, of Montgomery, Texas passed away on Sept. 18, 2017. He was born on Sept. 12, 1945 in Sydney, Australia.

He was first and foremost, a proud Dad & Grandpa that loved being close to his family. He travelled the world in his early years, living life to the fullest and working in the oil fields. Met a Louisiana gal, Eva, in Singapore, moved to Houston and got married. Colin was a go getter that stopped at nothing to see his kids succeed. If it was broke, he’d fix it. If he was broke, he’d find the cash to make it happen. He loved bringing his kids to motorcycle races in the 80’s and 90’s chasing the dream. A liver transplant in 1995 at the age of 50, slowed him down a bit, but he still found the strength to fly all over the world for the next 15 years to see his son, Colin Edwards II, race. During these travels, he never met a stranger, handing out free passes if he had them, he loved spending time chatting with crew and race fans. His mobility became more of an issue in later years and social media became his new way to communicate with race fans.

Colin, “Senior” as he was called, was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor in 2016. He made peace with it and decided to ride this ride all the way to the end. He was a social butterfly on the internet with his extended family, friends and race fans. When Senior was out and about socializing, his dog Alex wasn’t far behind.

“Senior” was an old school genuine fella, whose drive, determination and compassion will live on through the lives he touched. Thank you all for the support and love around the globe, he had a place in his heart for all of you.

A celebration of life for Colin “Senior” Edwards will be held at 4pm Saturday, Sept. 30, 2017 at Texas Tornado Bootcamp in Montgomery, Texas
