Ben Godfrey signs for Collision Kawasaki Belfast

Irish based team Collision Kawasaki Belfast are delighted to announce their second rider for the 2015 season in the National Superstock 600 Championship, which runs alongside the MCE British Superbike series, they have signed up 19-year-old Ben Godfrey from Long Eaton. Collision Racing is co-owned and run by former road racer Harry Corbett and Collision Recovery Services boss Paul Crooks.

This will be Ben’s fourth year in the Superstock 600 series after a successful stint in the Derby Pheonix Championships prior to stepping up to BSB level. He secured some strong results in 2014 with a best result of fourth at Thurxton, finishing 12th overall in the series after being forced to swap teams towards the end of the season.

Ben Godfrey – “I’m really looking forward to the 2015 season, joining Harry Corbett’s Team, Collision Racing I can’t thank them enough. The team have given me a really good chance to fight for the title in the National Superstock 600 Championship, also it will be good to have a competitive team-mate with Jesse (James-Jones).

Over the winter I’ve been putting in 100% to make sure I am as fit as possible to take on this new challenge. Last season was a really strong season for me with many top seven finishes and I also managed to get my first pole position in the series.

I would just like to thank all my personal sponsors for giving me this opportunity this season I really would not be racing if it wasn’t for all their help. #BG16″

Harry CorbettTeam Manager – “We are delighted to have signed our second rider for the team with Ben to compete in the Superstock 600 series alongside Jesse (James-Jones). Ben consistently improved last season and we hope we are able to take him to that next level and we are sure he is capable of some solid positions. Once again we would like to thank Norma and Michael de Bidaph and all the Gearlink team for their continued support.”

Paul Crooks – Team Owner – “It’s great to have signed a deal with Ben and we are sure he can get some strong results this year, we are currently in talks with a couple of riders for the Supersport Evo class. We would also like to thank R&G Racing Products for supporting the team for this season and we are now very excited about getting to round one at Donington Park in April.”
