This just in from John Long:

Conrad Joseph Urbanowski died Thursday of throat cancer in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Former AMA National Number 18, and teammate and mentor of John Long in the 1970s. He can be remembered for traveling the circuit in a Volkswagen bus with as many as three racebikes inside.

He finished fifth in the 1973 Daytona 200 on a Longevity Racing-sponsored Yamaha TZ350. In addition to racing in AAMRR, AMA and ERA he raced in F-750 events at Mosport and in the West Indies Jamaican GP.
