Cornerspeed® Schools Approved by U.S. Army for Advanced Motorcycle Training Cornerspeed is proud to be a part of the approved schools for enlisted personnel. Soldiers can now take the Cornerspeed Schools to fulfill their motorcycle sustainment training requirement. Providing discounts and training to military personnel isn’t new to Cornerspeed. Since Aaron Stevenson’s involvement in Semper Ride in 2009, the Marine Corp motorcycle education awareness expo at Camp LeJeune, he began to offer even greater discounts to enlisted personnel after learning the alarming statistic that more troops are lost in motorcycle accidents than in combat. Says Stevenson, Owner and Chief Instructor of Cornerspeed and Cornerspin, “Once I became aware of the number of troops that are seriously injured and/or killed in motorcycle accidents, I began offering military discounts for active personnel in any branch of service. I have numerous friends that are active personnel. I am drawn to help in this area and I feel strongly that I have programs that will help everyone. And an interesting sidebar, almost all of my Cornerspin instructors are veterans.” Soldiers are required to complete their motorcycle training every 3 years. Cornerspeed office manager Sharon Johnson states, “A good percentage of our students and track day riders are soldiers. Looking at our records since 2000, Cornerspeed and Cornerspin have had numerous military personnel complete our courses. We hope to see even greater numbers in the future.” Cornerspeed also offers track day groups on their school days so more advanced riders can enjoy the track while students are in the classroom. About Cornerspeed: Entering their 13th year as the official motorcycle school of Virginia International Raceway, Cornerspeed is a comprehensive one day school for all riders and all abilities.
