Cornerspeed, Cornerspin Event Schedules Adjusted Due To COVID-19

© 2020, Roadracing World Publishing, Inc. From a press release issued By Cornerspeed/Cornerspin:

Upcoming Cornerspeed/Cornerspin Schools & Events Amid COVID-19

Greetings to all, we hope that this correspondence finds everyone healthy and taking the necessary precautions to remain healthy during the coronavirus outbreak.

I’m sure everyone is following the news to track this rapidly spreading pandemic both locally and nationally.

The motorsports community has already seen big changes including the Daytona 200 being rescheduled for this October, American flat track canceling the upcoming Charlotte round and COTA moving to November.

Regarding Cornerspeed, Cornerspin and our veteran outreach program, Countersteer, we are following guidelines set forth by our government and health organizations.

At present, if social distancing and other measures being put into place are effective, the WHO initially projected mid-April (this date is subject to revision) as to when we should see positive change in the United States in the reduction of COVID-19 should everyone work towards slowing the spread of COVID-19. That’s a big caveat.

To that end, we will be postponing events until the point where group activities can be held with reasonable confidence and assurance of health and safety for all concerned.

In the coming weeks, we will evaluate our schedule event by event.

Please note the following schedule changes listed below.

Cornerspeed/April 3rd 2020: Canceled.

You may have already seen the press release from CCS/ASRA. They have postponed the Carolina Motorsports Park round until April, 2021. This is due to date availability and a possible repave. Cornerspeed will also postpone to the same weekend.

VIR Ducati Days / April 27-28:

Presently, the 19th annual Mid-Atlantic Ducati event scheduled for April 28/29 is a go.
However**This is subject to change based upon the pandemic.

Within a few weeks, we will know whether that event will have to be canceled or rescheduled. Please rest assured, we will not compromise anyone’s health, yours or our staff. We have everyone’s best interest at heart. We will make the best informed decision for all parties concerned.

Cornerspin:

March 21/22 Canceled

March 29/30 Canceled

April 18/19 Pending

Cornerspin schools suspended until the latter part of April.

Cornerspin Private Coaching:

In the interim, Aaron Stevenson will offer private coaching for one to three people at a time provided everyone is healthy. Being outdoors, maintaining proper social distancing and observing proper precautions, private coaching in an open air environment should be possible at Cornerspin. For your health and safety, we will not rent/provide helmets or goggles at this time. We strongly urge you to provide your own gear during this time.

Countersteer Veteran Experience April 4/5, 2020: Canceled.

Thank you for your time, patience and understanding during this time.

Let’s all work together to get this under control as quickly as possible so we can move on with regular activity.

Best wishes to all.

Stay healthy.

We look forward to training with you soon.
