CORNERSPEED OCTOBER 5TH GRAND COURSE EVENT POSTPONED DUE TO HURRICANE AND RAIN.

After due consideration and discussion with VIR Track management, Cornerspeed has opted to postpone the Grand Course (4.1 mile circuit) event on Monday, October 5th.

While the weather models on NOAA, Weather Underground, Weather.com have the storm tracking more towards the northeast, the volume of rain expected in the Danville area will have the Dan River cresting on Saturday evening/Sunday morning. This factor is one of the reasons Cornerspeed has opted to cancel. VIR track management and Cornerspeed have both determined that is in the best interest of safety for all concerned that the event should be postponed due to ground saturation and the potential for standing water in run off areas.

The Cornerspeed Grand Course event will be re-scheduled for Spring 2016. Cornerspeed will post the date along with the other 2016 dates as soon as the information becomes available.

As stated previously by Cornerspeed’s CEO Aaron Stevenson, “The one thing you can count on from Cornerspeed is this, we will not operate an event if we deem conditions to be unsafe. We are taking the proactive not the “reactive” stance to the threat this storm poses. We value your patronage and above all, your safety!”

All pre-registered paid entrants will receive a 100% credit to use at any Cornerspeed or Cornerspin event from now until the end of 2016.
