The start of Pro Honda Oils AMA Supersport practice Friday morning at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course has been delayed for an oil clean up. Oil was spread around the entire 2.4-mile, 15-turn road course by a jet dryer being used to dry the track surface Friday morning. The problem was found during an inspection of the track prior to the 8:30 a.m. scheduled practice start time. At post time, 9:50 a.m. local time, the oil clean up was ongoing. Originally, it was reported to Roadracingworld.com by AMA officials that the oil was residue from an engine failure during promoter practice late Thursday afternoon.
