Splitlath EBR To Compete In Pan-Delta Superbike Series In China
2015 will undoubtedly be another exciting year for the Hong Kong based, yet quite American Splitlath team. They will compete in the premier motorcycle roadracing championship in China, the Pan-Delta Superbike Series.
They will once again grid up with their all-American line for this new endeavor. Splitlath will debut the EBR1190RS in its first bid for an Asian championship with long time AMA top-contender, Cory West. Splitlath aims to further prove what the EBR, American-made superbike, is capable of against a deep field in the Chinese championship.
The Pan-Delta Superbike Series consists of six rounds over the course of three double-header weekends during March, June, and September and takes place at the Zhuhai Circuit. This series is televised live on Chinese Cable TV and regularly boasts over 30,000 in attending fans.
The team arrived in Zhuhai earlier this week to begin testing and Cory has already gotten used to the track, lapping within a second of the track record. Pan-Delta’s first championship round will be held this weekend and Cory aims to be at the front of the pack come race time.
“We are so pleased to be here in China. Everyone has been so helpful and kind. The circuit is amazing and the event is huge, beyond what we expected. We are looking forward to seeing the grandstands full on the weekend! We have to thank our sponsors; Fun88, Pirelli, Motul, Drift, and of course Erik Buell for his wonderful motorcycles and continued support.” said team owner, John Dimbylow.
After his first day of testing, Cory West commented, “This place is so cool and the standard of riding is very high. The whole event will be awesome and a truly great challenge.”
