DENVER, Colo. (March 22, 2012) – M1 PowerSports and Costco Wholesale, the largest membership warehouse club in the United States and one of the world’s largest retail outlets, have joined forces for the Triumph Big Kahuna Triple Crown, three events promoted by M1 PowerSports on the 2012 AMA Pro Road Racing schedule. Beginning in April, Costco Wholesale warehouses in the Greater Atlanta area will have display motorcycles and promotional materials on their sales floors and will be selling tickets for the Triumph Big Kahuna Atlanta, scheduled for April 20-22, 2012 at Road Atlanta. “Costco Wholesale has the privilege in partnering with M1 PowerSports, in promoting The Triumph Big Kahuna Nationals, held this year at Road Atlanta on April 20-22, 2012,” YongUnee Walsh-Gibb, Marketing Manager, Costco. “We’re excited to be a part of this one of a kind spectator experience, showcasing AMA Pro Road Racing at its best.” Following the Big Kahuna Atlanta, M1 PowerSports and Costco will expand their partnership to the Florida market, where the next round of the Triumph Big Kahuna Triple Crown, the Big Kahuna Miami, will take place September 21-23, 2012 at Homestead-Miami Speedway. “Teaming up with an out-of-industry powerhouse like Costco is where M1 is heading,” said I-San Hung, President of M1 PowerSports. “We’re trying to reach out and be creative, out-of-the-box thinkers. This is a test run with Atlanta, with three stores. You will see a presence at the Big Kahuna Atlanta, and look for a bigger presence in Miami, including big ticket displays in Costco throughout Florida.” Tickets for the Triumph Big Kahuna Atlanta begin at just $20 and that event is just the first of three M1 PowerSports-promoted events on the 2012 AMA Pro Road Racing calendar which make up the 2012 Triumph Big Kahuna Triple Crown. Originally spawned from Daniels Corporation under the name FAST, the fledgling company was heavily involved in television production for car and motorcycle racing. With the birth of Speedvision, FAST morphed into Race Promotion Management (RPM) and is now operating as M1 PowerSports with many of the same staff still in place.
