The Central Roadracing Association announces the dates and formats for its 2014 Race season. All events will take place at Brainerd International Raceway’s Donnybrooke and Competition courses. The CRA is also proud to announce that Michelin tires will sponsor the Supersport class events for the full season.

Every weekend will include a full day of practice on Friday. Supersport, Superbike, and Grand Prix sprints for all weight classes will be run at every race weekend, and every month will also include a variety of feature events. The season will begin on the Competition Course over May 9-11, featuring 18 lap trophy dash events on Saturday. Double-Sprint weekend formats will be held on June and August, running all Supersport, Superbike, and Grand Prix formats on both Saturday and Sundays. June weekend will also feature the club’s traditional ‘hare-and-tortoise’ Framstad Cup event. July will feature a 3 Hour Team Challenge event. The season will close on September 21, when the club runs the traditional 5 Hour Endurance race.

New racers interested in becoming licensed competitors can register for CRA New Racer Schools held on Fridays during May, June, July, and August race weekends (there will be no New Racer School held on September race weekend). Spectators will also be able to enjoy dual sprint events on May, July, and August race weekends, as bracket drag racing will be held on BIR’s drag strip.
